Station X: Spider is the professional solution for managing network rendering. Spider allows individual or groups of frames to be rendered by one or more networked machines. A priority based system is used to queue frames and manage the distribution of multiple jobs throughout the network. Jobs can be submitted and monitored from any user workstation on the network.
Station X: Spider runs as a Windows NT service on networked computers. This means that it is run at system startup and continues to run whether or not a user is logged on to the workstation. Once a job has been submitted, each Spider node will be assigned a frame or frames to process. When multiple jobs are submitted, whether from the same or different workstations, Station X: Spider will assign frames to CPUs based on the priority selected by the user for each job. In addition to assigning a priority for each job, the user also has control over which and how many different machines may be used to process frames.
As frames are processed, the user is kept up to date as to the status each of their own jobs as well as each frame. Real-time feedback is provided by Station X: Spider that gives the status of each job and each machine on the network.
Tested in actual "Mission Critical" productions, Station X: Spider gives you a scalable, reliable soultion for 100% utilization and organization of CPU power on your network.
